Hello Dear Hearts:
Have you found yourself running around like crazy? Do you feel like you have been pulled in several different directions? Whether it is all the things that you have to do at work or all of the many chores that you have to do at home, there is a time when you have to just take a chill pill.
Sometimes being a wife, a mom, a sister, a friend or all of everything can be very exhausting and make you feel incomplete. There never seems to be an end, especially when you are looking for a new beginning.
When you are feeling this way, I have a simple solution that will change your perspective on feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and unfulfilled. You need to stop and smell the roses. It is one of the simplest ways to relax and release the stress that has built up over time. I don’t suggest that you do it once in a while; I suggest that you do it every day.
When you are at work, have a fresh bouquet of flowers on your desk so that you can smell the roses, literally. Their beauty and aroma will help you to relax. Be sure to take your vacation time and spend it wisely. Take a day to lie in a hammock and appreciate the calm and peacefulness of nature. Listening to the birds chirp and feeling the sun kiss your skin can be so good. Enjoy the sounds, take in the beauty of your surroundings, and reflect on the simple things. There is a lot to be thankful for. You can begin with life.
Your list of do’s can wait for a few minute so that you can take the time to relax, even if it’s for 15 minutes. You will be amazed at how much you can accomplish after you recharge by just taking a few minutes a day to stop and be still.
What do you do to recharge and reboot your life? What are some of your favorite places to stop and be still?
